Before he launched Facebook, Mark Zuckerberg had already worked on multiple projects. At the time he was studying at Harvard, Mark built a website called Facemash that allowed students to rate people as Hot or Not from a bunch of photographs. The site was later forced to shut down by the college as it crashed one of Harvard networks due to sudden rise in its popularity with students. After that incident, Zuck did not renew his domain and Facemash.com expired in 2007. In 2010, it was reported that someone called Rahul Jahn purchased the domain and put it up on sale for a starting bid of 8000 USD on the auction platform Flippa.
Before that, he created another platform CourseMatch for students to help them choose their class based on what other students chose. It also facilitated group studies. That apart, when he was in high school, Zuckerberg developed a software program “ZuckNet” for his father who used to practice dentistry from house. This program is acknowledged as an early version of AOL Instant Messenger.
Other than that, he also built a music recommendation platform called Synapse and a file sharing service named Wirehog. He did not pursue these projects further.
Zuckerberg went to Harvard University to study computer science, but he dropped out during his sophomore year to work on Facebook.

On May 14, 1984, Zukerberg was born to Karen (Psychiatrist) and Edward Zuckerberg (Dentist) in White Plains, New York. He along with his sisters Arielle, Donna, and Randi grew up in a small village of Dobbs Ferry in Westchester County, New York.
Currently, Mark (age – 34) lives in Palo Alto, California with his wife Priscilla Chan and two children. Wife Priscilla and Zuck first met each other at Harvard’s fraternity party in their sophomore year and soon began to see each other. That was in 2003. In September 2010, Chan, who was studying medicine at the University of California, moved in with Zuck in his Palo Alto house.
