Wang Xing is the Founder of Meituan-Dianping group (Meituan.com), a combination of Groupon, Yelp, and Deliveroo like online service providers that specialize in daily deals, restaurant reviews, and food and goods delivery services. He is the Chairman and CEO of one of largest Chinese online and on-demand delivery platform that was founded in 2010. As Meituan-Dianping CEO, Wang is focused on expanding his company’s reach into travel booking, movie ticketing, food delivery, payments, bike sharing, and ride-hailing. Meituan CEO and Founder Wang is a serial entrepreneur since a very young age. Before Meituan, he created a Twitter-like platform called Fanfou.com in 2007 and served the company as its CEO. He was in-charge of the company till 2010. Prior to that, in 2005, he made xiaonei.com, a social networking site and run it as the CEO. The company was sold in 2006 and rebranded as renren.com. Today, it’s one of the biggest social networking sites in China.

Meituan-Dianping CEO Wang Xing, age 39, was born in Longyan, Fujian Province. He has been an adventurous entrepreneur. When he was 26 years, Xing with his Qinghua University mates Jacky, Wang Huiwen, and Lai Binqiang started a Facebook like Chinese social networking site Xiaonei that became a quick hit with University students. But after few months Wang was compelled to take some money from his parents to run it. Later, in 2006, he along with other Founders agreed to sell it to Oak Pacific Interactive for an unspecified sum of money.

After that, he with his friends created a copy of Twitter, a Chinese microblogging platform called Fanfou. Fanfou also became an instant hit in the market. But due to Xinjiang unrest in 2009, the site was closed for more than one year.

He joined Ericsson Cables in Hudiksvall in 1991 and went on to serve senior roles in China, Brazil, Chile, and Sweden.  From 2010 to 2016, he operated as Ericsson CEO and President.
