The Founder and CEO of BigBasket (founded in December 2011) earlier started fabmart.com, the first ever online store in India, in 1999 with his friend and colleague VS Sudhakar. After two years of its launch, the duo with four other friends opened a chain of brick-and-mortar grocery stores and named it Fabmall. In 2006, the Aditya Birla Group acquired it. Menon earlier began his career at TATA where he worked for 14 years.
