Before joining AIG as the President and CEO, Brian founded Hamilton Insurance Group in 2013. He performed the roles of CEO and Chairman at the company. Prior to that, he served Marsh & McLennan Companies, Inc. from 2008 to 2012 as President and CEO. From 1994 to 2004, he was at ACE Group as non-executive Chairman, President and CEO. He started his career with AIG in 1973, leading Japan and South Korea’s operations, and finally taking charge of its international businesses. He was there till 1994.
He went to Saint Joseph’s University, Philadelphia to get his Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics.

AIG CEO Brian, age 70, was born in Bermuda and brought up in Trenton, New Jersey. He was raised by her Catholic mother single-handedly. She was an accountant and in her absence, nuns used to take care of him after he would come back home from school. His wife Nancy and he have three children – all sons.
After he was discharged from the US Army, he thought of opting for an academic career. But since he had just got married, he wanted to earn more. He set out to explore job opportunities at a library where he found about actuary profession. That discovery landed him with his first job at AIG.
