The Putnam family is a well trusted and established name in the auto industry space in the US. Founder Joe Putnam’s entry into automobile retailing in 1953 acted as a precursor to the beginning of his entrepreneurial journey. In 1960, Joe and his wife Mary Lou moved to California after tasting success in dealership with Buick, Cadillac, and GMC in Devils Lake, North Dakota. He bought a location in Burlingame.
